Ta-Kush was originally thought to be 14-years old when she died. However, after being analyzed with a CT scan findings revealed that she was at least in her mid-twenties, possibly much older. The scan revealed that her teeth were well-worn with loss of enamel and cavities. The scan also revealed a wedge fracture in her vertebrae. This suggest that she suffered trauma from downward impact. The scans also showed healing from the injury which suggests that this was not her cause of death. Ta-Kush could have lived a while with this injury.
