At the Yanghai Tombs near Turpan, Xinjiang Autonomous Region, China, which dates to around 900 BC, was found the tomb of a presumed shaman who wore bells on his boots.

The mummy, found within Room 90, Group 1, was one of the three clusters of tombs found in Yanghai. He a man of about 35-45 years old, a Caucasoid with fair hair and blue eyes.
