At first, the severed head was named "Roum Woman" until further examination revealed traces of beard stubble on the face. The Roum Man is believed to have been about 20 years old at the time of death and the sheepskin in which the head was wrapped dates to early Iron Age.

Biography

Not much is known about the Roum Man because only the preserved head of this mummy has been found.
