Mummification

In 1920 when the mummy was first kept in the museum, it has been a pride for the museum but as time went on, the mummy started to decay due to abandonment, scans showed that the mummy's ribs were damaged and there were dislocation on her spine and one of her ankles but her skull and rest of the bones were intact. The cloth used in binding the mummy became brittle, so they had to rebind the cracked bandages without using any harsh chemicals or additional materials. according to the Mr Sah, the man who restored the mummy, "Subsequently, we had to take her wrapped in multiple layers of cotton to a diagnostic center to X-ray and CT-scan the cartilage. We had to take her with great care and security, and bring her back before the sun became too strong,". It is also known that part of the damage was due to oxygen, light, humidity, insects and temperature.
