Little is documented about Penamunnebnesuttawy, other than that he was mummified in a nature similar to Egyptian Royalty, due to his high societal status as a high priest.

The base and lid of the wooden coffin of Penamunnebnesuttawy is decorated with hieroglyphs with representations of deities such as Isis, the Sons of Horus, Anubis, and Hathor.

Mummification

Major organs such as the heart and were preserved separately, and the body was subsequently dried and wrapped with strips of linen. The mummy features a coat of resin, with thorax and abdominal cavities appearing empty. No obvious fractures to the skull or spine. All teeth appear to be present. CT scans show a large, granular mass between the thighs.
