Facial reconstruction of the Otago Mummy

Studies

The identity of the mummy is unknown but it was female and according to scans taken in 2000, she was about 50 years old and in poor health when she died.

In 2017 the Department of Anatomy and the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Otago undertook to reconstruct the mummy's face.
