Nefertiti also called Neferneferuaten-Nefertiti, was a queen (royal wife) to Pharaoh Akhenaten. Nefertiti parents are not recorded but one assumption is early Egyptologists believed that she must have been a princess from Mitanni (Syria) or She may have been a niece or daughter of Ay, who was a keeper of records under King Amenhotep III. Nefertiti and her husband were known for a religious revolution, in which they worshiped one god only, Aten, or the sun disc. Nefertiti and Akhenaten were responsible in the new religion which changed the views and ways of religion in Egypt. During her reign with her husband it was set to be the wealthiest period of Ancient Egyptian history. Nefertiti had many titles such as: Hereditary Princess , Lady of Grace, Lady of The Two Lands and Lady of all Women.

Nefertiti was married to the Akhenaten, in which they had six know daughters. There names were Meritaten, Meketaten, Ankhesenpaaten, Neferneferuaten Tasherit, Neferneferure and Setepenre. There are no records of who Queen Nefertiti parents are only assumptions of who her parents are.

Pathology

There is no exact record of how Queen Nefertiti died. Saying this there are throries of her death. Egyptological theories thought that Nefertiti vanished from the historical record around Year 12 of Akhenaten's reign, with no word of her thereafter. Explanations included a sudden death, by a plague that was sweeping through the city, or some other natural death. Another theory is that she died between the time of Akhenaten death and the accession of Tutankhamun.
