Biography
The Mummy SO10-IX is a mummy found in Sativanorte and currently resides in the Arachaeology Museum of Sogamoso. Mummy SO10-IX first analysis was in 2004 by a group of researchers from Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia. The mummy was found unwrapped in flexion, in a fetal position, it had a missing upper left limb with the right lower limb missing parts. The body showed that it went through perforations caused by cadaveric fauna.
Mummification
Through analysis of Mummy SO10-IX, it was said that it was a shaman, due to its perforated ears and that the shaman suffered from illnesses in the limbs. The mummy was cared for by the Muisca community.
