Moydrum Man was uncovered by utility workers at Rossan Bog near the Westmeath border in County Meath in December 2012. The remains dated to between 700 and 400 B.C.

Naturally mummified, in part, by the properties of the peat bog in which the body was deposited.
Studies[]
Moydrum Man had hundreds of sloe berries in his stomach, a bitter berry, it was his final meal.
