From 1914-1918 he worked in England and France. It was during this time when Ho committed to communism, and thirty years later he would chair a meeting in Vietnam and announce the beginning of the League for Vietnamese Independence. This organization wanted to be free from power of the French and Japanese. He was the president of North Vietnam from 1945-1969.
Mummification
Ho Chi Minh is at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum despite that he specifically stated that he wished to be cremated, in Ba Dinh Square in Vietnam.
Pathology
Ho Chi Minh died of heart failure after suffering from health problems.
Additional
The previous capital city of South Vietnam, Saigon, was named Ho Chi Minh City on July 2nd, 1976. Ho Chi Minh's face is also on all of the Vietnamese bills.
