In caves in western Texas more than 10 mummies were found. These bodies had varying ages dating back anywhere from 800 to 4000 years ago. The bodies were thought to be part of a culture known as Los Pecos. The remains were originally studied by Turpin and they were excavated decades ago, over a 50 year period; some were looted and some were excavated by professionals.
